Conflict resolution

There may be times when things do not go the way someone wishes.  When These times arise, please follow the athletic chain of command.  The thoughtful establishment and maintenance of a solid athletic chain of command will not eliminate conflict but it will provide a tool for consistent management of communication.  The integrity of the process is paramount to the success of resolving conflict.  The chain of command list is linked below.

As adults, teachers, coaches, students and parents we have the responsibility to ensure that the lessons learned from participation in activities are positive ones.  Through competition, young people should be taught the values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.  Our school hopes that all those involved with activities will us the following sportsmanship codes of conduct to improve the character of student athletes, fans and programs.

RCAS gives many student opportunities to work state events held in the city and area.  If your student is asked to work one of these events, the linked form below must be completed before the student is allowed to work the state event

STUDENT/PARENT PERMISSION FORM

 

Students are to ride to and home from a game or contest in school vehicles;  under certain circumstances, with permission of the activities director and approval of the parent and coach/advisor, it would be possible to travel to or from a game or contest other than in a school vehicle.  Students must ride home with their own parent, unless prior permission is granted from the AD or building principal.  All parties must have a travel release form signed at least one day prior to departure for the trip.  Travel release forms are located in the activity office.  Extenuating circumstances may be considered by the administration.

POST HIGH SCHOOL

For those athletes who are planning on competing beyond high school, there are requirements.  This informaiton is available through each association NCAA & NAIA.  Links are below
